Meet Dr. Shelly Lappi

Hey Families,

My name is Shelly Lappi and I've been in education for over 25 years. Thanks for stopping by and checking out our website! 

Over the years, I have served in the following roles:

  • Classroom teacher (6 years)
  • Speech-Language Pathologist (1 year)
  • Assistant Principal (10 years)
  • Principal at Franklin Township - Since 2016

My educational journey includes:

  • East Stroudsburg University, B.S;
  • Penn State University, M.Ed and Principal Certification 
  • Drexel University, D.Ed  

A little bit about me personally:

  • Born in Johnstown, Pa and currently reside in Enola (~ 42 miles north of Gettysburg)
  • HUGE Steelers fan :)
  • A super proud auntie and the middle child with an older sister and a younger brother. 

Some things I enjoy doing:

  • Fishing, kayaking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends
  • I also enjoy playing team sports, walking, reading, shopping, and laughing 
  • My faith is very important and a BIG part of who I am; I love attending bible study and learning from others. 

I love our team at FTE and there's no place I'd rather spend my days. I have a "get-to" job and I thank God every day for it--I drive an hour for the people! Franklin Township Elementary is an extraordinary place. Every member of our team contributes to providing a special place for our students to learn, grow, make mistakes and develop resilience.
